Ohlone College has Film and Television classes that can prepare you for a career in the film industry or broadcast television.

New! Beginning Documentary Production

Learn TV documentary production. Students research, shoot and produce a short documentary film.   

Beginning Film & Video Production

Students write, produce and direct their own short films. Taught by casting director Veronica Eggert.

Digital Reporting (reporting skills for the Web)

Create your own news website or learn to gather information and pics and market them on the web. Weekly webcast.

Digital Video and Lighting (learn to shoot like a pro)

Train to shoot professional quality video for TV & web. Taught by professional TV cameraman William Moore.

Live Television News (in front of the camera)

Report, produce or anchor a live TV newscast that airs on Comcast each week. Learn to Shoot news video, write for braodcast, edit video.Taught by TV news reporter Bill Schechner.      

Studio Production (behind the camera)

Learn commercial television production skills: Directing, studio camera, switcher, Teleprompter, chyron, audio. Crew for a live show.

Video Editing for Film and Television

Beginning video editing using Final Cut Pro and Edius. Edit TV, film and web clips, music videos and sound.
