Overview of Chemistry Department
The Chemistry Department at Ohlone College offers general and organic chemistry for science majors, pre-professionals, and engineering majors. Other courses satisfy the general ed requirements, prepare students for general chemistry and the nursing program, and give a basic chemical training to help students understand the modern world.
Pre-requisites for General Chemistry
General Chemistry (CHEM-101A) has two pre-requisites:
- CHEM-102 Preparation for General Chemistry, and
- MATH-152 Algebra II
Both of these pre-requisites can be satisfied by passing the Chemistry Placement Test and the Math Placement Test. Check with the Placement Testing Center for details.
